If you’ve ever had the pleasure (I’ll use this term loosely) of stepping foot into a Crossfit gym you’ll know it’s like no other. The community the people the social events and probably most importantly the gruelling worksouts. I remember nervously walking into my first gym over 6 years ago, dragging my mum with me for a bit of moral support. 30 minutes later we are signed up for inductions!

That’s the thing with Crossfit probably gives it the name for being a “cult”. It’s really quite the opposite. It’s not just a gym but it’s a BIG family. It’s so welcoming to be a part of a community where you’ve got each others backs, you’re competing but you equally want the best for your gym partners. I’ve met some of my absolute besties by attending! They’ve seen me at my sweatiest and at times my proudest. I’ve I’m honest my favourite parts have always been the competitions and the parties!

Jess & Mike are the Mr & Mrs Crossfit in the North West and owners of Crossfit Pendle, so when these guys asked me to document their wedding at the Shireburn Arm’s I just knew it was going to be one hell of a celebration!

For me a wedding is about the people. You the bride and groom but also the family and friends you are sharing the day with. I’ve had the absolute pleasure, not only of competing with Jess & Mike but also attending their gym and watching their relationship blossom into what I know will be a long super happy marriage. I couldn’t be more genuine when I say it was an absolute pleasure to document such an array of emotions and memories for you both. You are clearly so perfectly suited and I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
