Chloe & Steve’s beautiful summer wedding at Mitton Hall
I love weddings at Mitton Hall, it is one of my favourite wedding venues. Chloe and Steve also happen to be one of the nicest and sweetest couples I have ever met so this was a day I had been looking forward to for a long time!
Chloe and Steve are pretty much childhood sweethearts. They live in a cute little cottage in a pretty perfect village. I caught up with them in April for their pre wedding shoot in Sawley which was so much fun!
On the morning of the wedding I arrived at Chloe’s mum’s house to a ram jam packed atmosphere of her bridesmaids and parent’s getting excited, supping fizz and scoffing sausage butties! I had a bit of an addiction to the kitchen, not just for the sausages but the light on the kitchen cupboards, was amazing! (Maybe that’s sign of getting old?!)
Chloe’s dress was so beautiful, from the lovely girls at Lulu Brown’s in Whalley. She had also managed to co ordinate the styles of her bridesmaid dresses too in a beautiful steel grey colour. The flowers were so important to Chloe. The colour scheme she had chosen really showed the handiwork of the awesome florists Brambles and Lace just perfectly.
A couple of weeks before the wedding Chloe mentioned how much she loves Blue bells, so I went on a scout nearby and found a forest full of wild bluebells. I mentioned how awesome it would be to stop by on their way to Mitton Hall to give them a tiny little bit of alone time and get some killer portraits. It means so much that they trusted my judgement on this one, especially as Chloe’s heels made their way past everyone else in their walking boots! YOU ROCK Chloe!
It was important for Steve and Chloe to have ‘real’ photographs. To me that’s just perfect, no posing, no faffing just capturing these guys and their friends and family having the best time at Mitton Hall! Have a see for yourself.
Wow, Toni, these are incredible! I love the portrait with the sun flare coming through – really beautiful.
So many smiles! Great blog post TD, you’ve caught all the emotion and that last photo ROCKS !
THE BLUEBELLS!!! Oh my god I want to jump inside that photo, beautiful! Gorgeous light, gorgeous story. Love the end shot and the groom singing his heart out. Like your style Ms D!x
LOVE that golden hour kiss. Such a beautiful moment and great light too. Boom! And hells yeah to bluebells too. Lovely work, lady. x
