Beautiful summer wedding in the Ribble Valley
It’s absolutely no surprise that I LOVED being Charlotte and Ashley’s wedding at Browsholme Hall in the Ribble Valley. Maybe for slightly selfish reasons too. Charlotte and Ashley were both so laid back, they really both put there upmost trust in me, which was so nice. This was possibly because they had both seen me in action at Jen & Johnny’s Wedding at the Shireburn Arms back in 2014.
Charlotte got ready with her bridesmaids in Langho at the Avenue Hotel. It was so lovely to see them all laughing and chatting like they were on a girls weekend away, all with matching gowns supping fizz. They really did make me feel so welcome. I absolutely fell in love with Charlotte’s veil too, it even had it’s very own picture. Turn’s out I’ve already been addicted to the veil here at Jen’s wedding, it was Charlotte’s something borrowed. Charlotte wore the veil higher which gave it a completely different look, I’m sure you’ll agree she looked beautiful.
Ashley possibly wont admit this but like any other groom I could tell he was feeling super nervous. I don’t think it helped that his brother, doubled up as his best man was on tap to wind him up. The boys really do have the harder job I think, because they are waiting, in the lime light. The boys also stole Ashley’s shoes on the morning of the wedding to write some appropriate text on the soles.
Browsholme Hall in the Ribble Valley is the perfect barn wedding venue, the stone is so pretty and the grounds are gorgeous. Not to mention the extremely romantic lake and rowing boat. Maybe I’ll use the term romantic loosely. As the guests mingled I whisked the couple and their bridal party off towards the lake for pictures. The boys helped Charlotte and Ashley into the said romantic rowing boat before singing a full rendition of “Row Row Row Your Boat” from the banking. I’m not going to lie, I was nearly in tears laughing.
On that note, here are a few of my favourites from Charlotte and Ashley’s super fun wedding. Enjoy!
