The Oak Tree at Peover is an exclusive wedding venue in the heart of rural cheshire. Gemma & Rob’s vintage themed romantic wedding was just perfect fit for this luxurious venue. The beautiful Acorn Lounge with slate floors, floor to ceiling windows and exposed beams features the most magical views over looking the endlessly Cheshire countryside. Possibly the most tranquil place to marry your best friend.
I’d been looking forward to Gemma & Rob’s wedding for over a year. We met what feels like forever ago for tea and cake and discussed their wedding plans with pure excitement and joy. You only have to be in their company for less than 5 minutes to know they are so perfectly suited.
The year of waiting did not disappoint. I arrived bright and early on the June summers morning to a ridiculously excited bride. She was surrounded by so much love, also resembled in the thoughtful handmade crafts by friends to ensure she had the most perfect day that has been dreamed of for some time. I felt like I’d jumped straight into Gemma’s wedding planning Pinterest board, that was now so real.
It’s not often I feel teary at a wedding, quite often you’re so focused on people and expressions that you don’t hear anything around you. If I do I tend to hide behind my camera. This was different. I saw with my own eyes how much these two love each other. I was positioned at the top of the aisle focused on the Groom Rob as Gemma was about to walk down the candle lit aisle with her father. I knew the exact moment Gemma had appeared in Rob’s view because his expression changed instantly, from shyness and nerves to pure joy and excitement. I could see in that exact moment how happy and excited they make each other feel. This is how love feels…
