One of Lancashire’s best wedding venues
The magnificent Browsholme Hall in Lancashire is one of the most picturesque wedding venues within the Ribble Valley and easily one of my personal favourites.
As soon as you visit the historic house and gardens you will see why it is so popular with bride and grooms. This is a venue that really does have it all and every wedding I have photographed here has been so beautiful and so much fun.
Built in 1507 it is one of the oldest surviving family homes in the county. It is a privately owned Elizabethan house in the parish of Bowland Forest. All situated within it’s own grounds in such a stunning location, it is perfect for peaceful and relaxing wedding celebrations in the countryside.
The Tithe Barn, where couples can either have their wedding ceremony or their reception, has been converted into a modern barn wedding venue. Situated just a couple of minutes walk away from the main house, it is perfect for rustic weddings. It has been converted perfectly, keeping it’s traditional features of exposed stone, oak beams and flagstone floors.
Why do I love photographing weddings at Browsholme Hall?
I’ve been lucky enough to capture a number of weddings at Browsholme, both in the summer and in the winter, and I have loved every one.
There are so many reasons that I enjoy photographing weddings here. The first thing that I always think is just how relaxing and friendly the atmosphere here is. Each time I have been to Browsholme Hall I have been made to feel so welcome. Couples that get married here tend to want a very relaxed and informal wedding day with as little stress as possible and that is exactly what you get at Browsholme.
From a photography point of view, Browsholme is an absolute dream venue. The venue is surrounded by incredible countryside views and breathtaking scenery, perfect for photographs.
The gardens in particular are vast and absolutely stunning, offer countless opportunities for beautiful wedding photographs. The gardens are so spacious too and seem to continually change throughout the seasons meaning that every time I go, I seem to see something new!
As well as the beautiful gardens, Browsholme even has it’s own lake! Bride and grooms can pop themselves in a rowing boat and go for a little sail. I don’t think it’s possible to be more romantic than this and it’s also an experience virtually unique to this venue too. What can be more memorable or romantic than going on a boat trip for two as soon as you are married?
The staff at Browsholme Hall are brilliant too, so friendly and helpful, which really makes a big difference on the day. They put so much effort in to ensuring every wedding day is perfect.
For couples looking for a countryside location or a more rustic wedding, Browsholme is the perfect choice.
Experienced Lancashire wedding photographer
As I have plenty of experience working at the beautiful Browsholme Hall, I am familiar with all the magical and spectacular areas this picturesque venue has to offer. On a wedding day I love to take my brides and grooms for a little wander in the grounds to really create amazing wedding portraits that you’ll want to show off. I know this gorgeous wedding venue inside out. Needless to say I know the best places for creative couple portraits at anytime of the year! Some of my favourite spots include the willow trees to the side of the main house and also the tree lined walk up towards the picturesque lakeside.
I have also worked alongside lots of other fantastic wedding suppliers here as well so can always give you advice and recommendations on those too should you need it.
